The word spirituality can be open to a wide range of interpretations. In general, spirituality is recognized as:
- Feeling there is something greater, larger or more encompassing than your individual self.
- An experience that sometimes feels cosmic and divine in nature, transcending beliefs or religious backgrounds.
The essence of the TED* (*The Empowerment Dynamic)® framework is a spiritual design. Its roles of Creator, Challenger, and Coach, begin with a fundamental shift from a Victim Orientation to a Creator Orientation. This change in mindset releases us from focusing on problems and what we don’t want, to focusing on what we love and care about.
Our Creator essence is a universal, innate goodness that is at the heart of every human being. The spirit of TED* anchors the creative mindset and affirms our goodness as an integral element of our truth, independent of outside circumstances. Our Creator essence is evidence of our ever-present wholeness. Just as the light of the sun may be unseen at times, yet continues to shine behind the visible clouds, we can trust the perpetual existence of this powerful force for love within us.
Beneath the surface of our busy lives lies a deeper quest for meaning and connection. The TED* framework encourages us to awaken to our inner potential, claim our divine inheritance, nurture our relationships, and act with purpose. It is also a spiritual framework that transcends religious doctrine, inviting us to engage with life in a more profound and intentional way.
Our essential nature is creative. We create our own thoughts, beliefs, and experiences. Spirituality is believing in the unseen energies that are always present in the dynamic field from which the creative process emerges. To access these unseen energies, we must believe that they await within us as power and wisdom. This awareness can lead us to a spiritual awakening. Out of this infinite field of potential and possibility, we can decide and create who we want to be and how we wish to shape our reality in the world.
This is the spirituality that is always available to us when we live from The Empowerment Dynamic.
Why is this so essential now? Technological advances are rapidly changing and presenting profound new challenges to what it means to be human. For centuries science and technology have produced results we can measure and see. This scientific method has given the world extraordinary achievements.
Ancient civilizations recognized our spiritual origins, but the modern world has sought knowledge primarily through science and intellect, giving less attention to ways of deeper knowing. We are both matter and spirit and, as such, have access to an even more profound way of understanding the world and our place in it.
The next evolutionary leap in human history will be the scientific awareness of these unseen energies that all ancient cultures have honored since the beginning of time. Quantum Physics is leading us into an integration of both the spiritual and the scientific—the seen and the unseen.
The core principles of the TED* framework is part of the new field of human development that combines both science and spirituality.
TED* also emphasizes the importance of how we relate to others, fostering a sense of interconnectedness and mutual support. Many cultures value individual achievement over collective well-being. TED* reminds us that we thrive through collaboration and community by seeing the Creator essence in all beings.
This shift in how we interact with others is deeply spiritual because it honors the dignity and potential of every individual. When we engage with others as Creators, we confirm their ability to contribute meaningfully and support their journey. This perspective nurtures a sense of belonging and unity, essential to our spiritual and emotional well-being. It reminds us that our relationships are sacred, and through them, we find deeper fulfillment and purpose.
Embracing TED* means recognizing that spirituality is not limited to any one tradition or practice but is a universal experience of connection, growth, and purpose. It’s about finding the extraordinary in the everyday and understanding that each moment holds the potential for transformation. When we connect with the source of our creativity, we can fully live from our human potential. As we apply TED* to our lives, we become not just participants in our own journey but active Creators of a more empowered and connected world.
