By Donna Zajonc with David EmeraldBy all accounts, 2025 is going to be a wild ride. It’s not that the last few years have been a piece of cake but, if projections hold true, new challenges and the pace of life will be beyond anything we have experienced before.

So, buckle up everyone! What is certain is that we don’t know what is ahead of us this year—it might be the bumpy road of uncertain finances, the rocky path of a sudden job loss, the sharp turn after a divorce, or maybe a sense of lost direction. What we do know, and what is central to The Empowerment Dynamic, is that we have a choice in how we respond.

Each week I will share insights on how to apply principles from The Empowerment Dynamic in your life, your career, and your family and close relationships. Most of all, I will offer a fresh look about how to consciously choose who you want to be wherever your journey.

I am the co-founder of the Center for The Empowerment Dynamic, a master certified coach with 25 years of professional coaching experience, an author, and teacher. As the writer of this weekly blog for a dozen years, with David Emerald as editor and contributor, I will take a more personal approach to its contents in 2025.

It was 20 years ago that David shared with me his epiphany of the positive alternative to the Karpman Drama Triangle and its roles of Victim, Persecutor, and Rescuer. He described the new and more empowering roles of Creator, Challenger, and Coach and named the new triangle, The Empowerment Dynamic, which we affectionately call TED*.

As a student of human development, I immediately felt the power of David’s epiphany. I suggested to David that he write down his revelation, which inspired his first book, The Power of TED*. Later The Empowerment Dynamic framework inspired me to write my own book, Who Do You Want to Be on the Way to What You Want? Coaching with The Empowerment Dynamic, on how to apply TED* as a coaching process.

Each week my focus will be on supporting you, your colleagues, and loved ones to get out of dramatic ways of thinking, relating, and acting and how to take a more active role in living the life you want. Here are a few of the topics I will be writing about this year:

  • Creating more positive relationships with your co-workers and families, while experiencing more peace within yourself;
  • Taking a more active role in living from an empowered mindset instead of the problem-focused mindset;
  • Exploring the truth of your Creator essence, imbued with goodness and wisdom;
  • Recognizing what triggers your reactive, fear-based responses and how to live from the wholeness that The Empowerment Dynamic offers;
  • The impact of extraordinary technological changes that demand we think again about what it means to be human;
  • Sharing what our clients have told us about how they applied the TED* and 3 Vital Questions® (3VQ) tools that transformed their lives for good; and
  • Expanding your personal awareness and capacity to work with the complexity of change and chaos.

You can count on suggestions, tips, stories, and insights so that your 2025 journey will be a little smoother, more joyful, and full of growth and learning.

I look forward to sharing my experiences and how The Empowerment Dynamic has guided me both professionally and personally, through my own stories of success, grief, and loss.

The extraordinary changes facing all of us—around the globe and at home—do not have to be scary or painful, full of drama or suffering. We can grow from these challenges and together, redefine what it means to live an empowered and exceptional life.

Until next time,Donna
