The word spirituality means different things to different people. For many, non-religious spirituality centers on personal growth, inner peace, and mindful presence. At its core, there is often a felt sense that something greater exists beyond our individual identity—a quiet connection to inner wisdom, universal energy, or something that transcends traditional belief systems.

I’ve been contemplating the spirituality of TED* (*The Empowerment Dynamic)® framework for many years. Its presence in my life has transformed not only how I make meaning of the world, but who I understand myself to be as a spiritual being.

When I first read Jesuit priest and philosopher Pierre Teilhard de Chardin’s often-quoted words—“We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience”—something clicked. As I began to embrace my Creator essence, I felt myself aligning more deeply with that truth.

At its heart, TED* is a spiritual framework. It begins with a radical internal shift: moving from a Victim Orientation to a Creator Orientation. This transformation allows us to tap into our innate ability to cultivate purpose, compassion, and creative power. Rather than focusing on problems or what we don’t want, we begin directing our energy toward what we love, care about, and choose to create.

Our Creator essence is the innate goodness and wholeness at the center of who we are. It remains untouched by external circumstances. TED* is a pathway back to that essence—a reminder that we are not defined by fear or limitation, but by the creative life force that flows through every human being.

This realization that you are a Creator leads to a profound spiritual truth: you have the power to choose your response to life. The power of choice is the one power that can never be taken from you. Every experience you have is shaped by what you choose to believe and how you choose to perceive it. Life certainly happens “out there,” but how you experience it is entirely up to you.

The ego is shaped by limiting beliefs, fear, and judgment and would have you believe otherwise. It insists that your emotions and sense of identity are dictated by circumstances or other people’s actions. It projects your power outward and denies your ability to choose. This is the inner conflict we all face—between the voice of fear and the quiet, steady voice of your inner Creator.

When you listen to the ego, you fall into the Dreaded Drama Triangle (DDT)—a reactive pattern built on blame, guilt, and disempowerment. But when you choose the voice of your Creator essence, you awaken to a new reality: one of clarity, possibility, and deep personal power.

Beneath the noise of daily life lies a universal human longing for meaning, connection, and purpose. TED* invites us to return to that inner truth and a deeper spiritual awareness. It asks us to claim our divine inheritance, nurture our relationships, and live with conscious intention.

This shift is especially vital in today’s fast-paced world. As technology evolves and reshapes what it means to be human, we are being called to return to our roots—not just biologically or culturally, but spiritually. For centuries, science has measured what can be seen and proven. But ancient wisdom reminds us that there is far more to the human experience.

We are both human and spirit. TED* lives at the intersection of these truths. It offers a path that is both a practical and profound way to integrate self-awareness, compassion, and intentional choice into how we live and relate. Our ever-present Creator essence can guide us toward personal empowerment, and ultimately, to a deeper understanding of ourselves and those around us.

Until next time, here’s to the Creator in you! With Love,Donna
